Switch the Dang Magnet!

When living with a group of fellow college students, one must understand that things aren’t necessarily always going to be clean as a whistle in a tiny little apartment with six young men living in it.  It’s the things that are used the most that get the dirtiest.  Those things just so happen to be the dishes.   Anybody who has lived in an apartment with several other individuals knows that without a certain kind of system, the sink fills up almost automatically!  This being the case, the drama on who is the messiest seems to always arise in conversation.  Whatever the quarrel may bring about, a solution is always trying to be formed by at least one of these fellow apartment mates.  In our case, we don’t have an organized solution, but we do have a dish Nazi that will always remind us if we forget to put away our dishes, or if we run out of time to do them, even if it’s just a cup and a spoon.  Recently, this “dish Nazi”, who will continue to go unnamed, has bought a magnet to place on the refrigerator.  If the magnet is near the letters “dirty”, this means that the dish washer is dirty, and one must place their dishes in the dishwasher.  If the magnet is near the letters that read “clean”, that person must unload the dishwasher.  There are times when the dishwasher is started, but the magnet doesn’t get moved to the “clean” position, in which case a person will continue trying to stuff the dishwasher with dirty saucy dishes, only to dirty up the existing plates and bowls which used to be clean.  On top of this, the dishes come out wet anyway, so the door of the dishwasher is left open to help dry the dishes.  It is left open, and in turn, is thought to be dirty.  The process continues, and the pressure rises.  What will the solution be?
